Finding Large Dogs That Dont Drool

Having a large dog might be your dream, but you have to face some facts before choosing one. First, you should have enough space for your new pet. Small apartment is rarely a very good choice. Another thing to think about is do you have enough time to take care about your pet's activity needs. Of course, if you have a house with a big fenced yard, it might solve some of these problems.

Shedding and drooling are things people rarely think about when choosing their new pet. On the other hand, these things will certainly be a problem for some people. In fact, most large breeds are known by their excessive drooling, and only a few don't have so much problems with it.

He doesn't drool around and doesn't make a mess when eating or drinking water, and makes a really good family dog.

It's all about lips, really. When dog's lips are close together, there will be less drooling. Instead of Borzoi, you could, for example, choose one Standard Poodle. Hypoallergenic, polite, tidy and clever, this dog is always a very good choice for a pet. If you don't appreciate his elegant looks, you can choose one of really interesting crossbreeds, maybe Labradoodle or Goldendoodle instead.

Fuzzy, messy and adorable Old English Sheepdogs are something hard to resist, by all means. They will make perfect family dogs, great children's companions and beautiful and funny friends to anyone. They are clever, trainable, maybe not so easy to maintain, but certainly simply irresistible. They do not have so much drooling problems as some other similar breeds.

Doberman is another breed that won't make such a mess. Although he looks intimidating, he is really a nice creature which will be loyal and lovable companion to anyone. Of course, he might be less friendly to strangers, especially if he thinks you or your family members are in some kind of danger. He is certainly large enough to protect you.

Mentioned breeds will live 11 to 12 years in average, and it's a good number for most large breeds. Keep in mind the fact most breeds do have some health issues, and the healthier breed mentioned here is certainly Borzoi. In any case, they all need daily exercise, and big ones especially. Prepare for this, it is something you have to be aware of. A good daily walk will be great for you both. If you don't have enough time, find someone who does.

Find a good vet to take care of your pet's health and other things such as regular vaccination. Make sure to choose a right food for your dog, and take care not to overfeed him. When choosing your dog, be responsible. You are choosing a friend for life, not a toy. You have to know what to expect and how to deal with it. In return, you will get an unconditional love and friendship, and that is something to look forward to.
